Has anyone watched the Birds of Prey TV series on The WB in 2002? If so, how would you rate it? Personally, I haven't watched it and only recently found out that it was even made. I'm particularly interested in watching it since Dina Meyer (Det. Allison Kerry in the Saw films) played the role of Babs. Plus, after watching the YouTube vid below, I thought she filled the role quite nicely.

It was an OK show. There were some obvious problems. I would give it a B, overall. My main problem with the show was Dinah, the blonde teenager that Babs and Helena decided to train. I just found her annoying most of the time. Harley as the villain was great and well done. I think, had they had a second season, they could have worked out some of the kinks and brought on some great characters! (HELLO! Nightwing?!)

I never saw it but most of what I heard about it was bad.

That's too bad, because there were some really great moments! The pilot was great, seeing Babs in her Batgirl garb. You see it again when she creates a suit that allows her to walk in order to fight Lady Shiva. I'd recommend watching at least the pilot online.

The show was day time TV worthy. It was bad I thought. I think the reason that kept me watching was because there was so much that they could make small changes to to made the show FAR better. Like spider-girl (Stella, Batgirl, whatever) says Dinah was bad. She was easily the worst part of the show. Nightwing would have been obvious and awesome. Why wasn't he there? I don't know. I feel if you read the comics of birds of prey then watched this show you would be like me and sit there saying things like "really?" and "Why is the acting so bad?" "that is lame". ANYWAY that is my 2 cents.
In the end I feel it could have been better with some small tweaks here and there.
