Here's a Q for you guys. What Movies/TV Shows (you can even go further into video games and books if you'd like) do you think are overrated and underrated?
Underrated:
-Friday Night Lights is an incredibly underrated show on right now. Even if you don't like football, this show will amaze you.
-Scrubs: Vastly ijnored sitcom that is one of the more clever sitcoms in the decade.
-That Thing You Do: I'm not sure how many even know about this film, but Tom Hanks wrote/directed/co-starred in this very well done film about a band in the 60's.
Overrated:
-Buffy: I know Buffy has a lot of fans, but I could never get on board with this show past the second season. It's just too campy for me. I also don't like having to be reminded by the writers in almost every episode that Buffy is bad ass. I get it.
-Mad Men: The first season was interesting but since then the show really fell down in the drain. The characters aren't interesting and neither is the dialouge. It's very boring and I can't believe this show is still winning awards. It seems like viewers are more interested in the time period the show takes place in rather then what goes in the show.
-Citizen Kane: Okay, everyone would jump on you if you were named the best movie of all time, but I don't even consider this a good movie. It's only worth while for the innovative camera angles that don't seem so special now. It has average acting, an average script, and a terrible ending.

Underrated:
Damages: Perhaps it's because it's on network tv, but Damages has not been getting many viewers this season. Without a doubt, it is a great show with an interesting way of plotting the episodes.
In Plain Sight: Another network drama, this follows WITSEC in New Mexico. While I cannot comment on how many viewers are tuning in (it just returned March 31), I don't really hear people talk about it.
The Closer: Another GREAT network drama! Once again, I don't hear too much buzz about this. I feel like the majority of good shows are not on the main channels (ABC/NBC/CBS) but on the networks (FX/USA/TNT).
Overrated:
Grey's Anatomy: I was watching this up until the late fall. I just can't really get into it anymore. Gone are the days of a great hospital drama like E.R.

I'll second Grey's Anatomy. The show went down the drain for me in the second half of season 3.

Underrated: Pushing Daisies. (I never hear anyone talk about this show. Is was A-MAZING) I'll second Damages Fire Fly (Canceled after 11 aired eps and 14 total . . .)
Overrated: Halo 2 (not nearly as good as the first one) Citizen Kane for sure. On the flip side though, it made film an art form so . . . ya kind of important. Grey's Anatomy Real TV
I'm sure I have more but my girlfriend needs my comp.
