Well, we know Bruce told her to abandon the Batgirl role in case of his demise, and now she's back. With her return in recent Red Robin issues, she's back in the hero mode. She has yet to adopt a new code-name, but her new costume seems to be a more practical ninja-SHIELD looking garb.

Apparently, the "Anonymous Agent" of Batman won't be long term, and it looks like there may be 2 Batgirls.

At least she's showing more of her face now! I'm glad that there's been a change in her costume, because it mirrors the change in the character.

My newbie co-worker gave me this to me today as an early X-Mas gift (ruined my original one with spilled tea ) and spent a couple minutes pondering about this new costume. Here are several observations: 1) As reported by other online sources this costume looks like it was inspired by Scandal Savage's costume. 2) The absence of any Bat-symbol, the non-usage of the signature Bat-grapple rope, and Cass' reaction to seeing her old suit (plus the hint that she isn't using a Bat-family affiliated name) probably means that she's distancing herself not only from the Bat-family but also her Bat-history. 3) I'm glad she still covers part of her face. I've always liked and enjoyed seeing the whole "ghostly" look due to the fact that unlike EVERY SINGLE ONE OF BATMAN'S SIDEKICKS, Cass' Batgirl costume is the ONLY one that can strike fear in the heart of criminals (hell, she'd scare even the innocent ones)! Think about it, wouldn't you be scared if all of a sudden you saw a black, faceless figure pop up in front of you from nowhere?

I think that it's time she go off on her own. I think she's ready! Why can't she be her own hero instead of just being in the Bat-family. Dick did the same thing!
