I'm not a Dick Grayson fan. There's several things that irk me about his character. And while I love Batman, I'm not really interested in Batman now because it's Dick wearing the cowl. Now I'm just very curious. What is wrong with Dick Greyson?

For one, I think he's a very boring character. I was okay with him when he was just Robin but when he started to get all teen angsty on Bruce, I got really tired of him.

Oh god, do NOT get me started on Damian. Don't get me wrong, I think he's got great potential but he's really annoying me right now. But I'm very interested in what his fate will be when Bruce returns. I have a hard time believing that Bruce will put up with half the crap Dick does. I just don't know if I can see Bruce & Damian together. I would like to see Dick adopt Damian and continue his training with him.

That is fair enough but I think that was both angsty and Bruce being a HUGE jackass. I think the Gotham Knights need Greyson. He keeps everyone around him sane I think. All the GK are soooo intense that Greyson is an exellent counter balance for them. Kinda like the "Cool older brother". I don't know. That is just my thoughts. I also feel Tim is way to similar to Bruce and to help keep Bruce feel unique I think Tim should be . . . different.

Not at all. Damian is a very annoying character whose only saving grace is that he is the spawn of Bruce & Talia. Like I said, I think he's got great potential, but he's just not being written well and he's not being written for fans to even like him.

I think Damian is a fun/annoying character, he's 11 right? Kids are ANNOYING at that age! If he remains post Return of Bruce Wayne, I always think of that panel of Batman shouting: "YOU ARE DISRESPECTING YOUR SENSEI!"
On Tim, I really like him. I think Dick is focused on the mission but he's not afraid to have fun on the way, sometimes that to me is annoying. Tim on the other hand seems to have more of an intense focus on his goals, doing everything to get the job done, kind of reminds me of me actually.

Damian is lame. Yes he is new can could be fixed up but I think there are enough people in the Bat-Family.

I was really hoping Damian would re-surface when he was older. But now he's gotten so much screen time that he's going to have to be a part of someone's book. There's a neat interview with Fabian Nicieza, who will be taking over as writer of Red Robin with issue #13. He reveals that some of Tim's older enemies and supporting cast will be returning while keeping the cast that Chris Yost created with his first run on Red Robin. He also talks about his first arc which will have a confrontation between Tim and Damian, along with Tim making a choice about his future. www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=25514

Anyone looking for a good Bat family book? How about a good Tim Drake book? How about just a damn good comic issue? Pick up Red Robin #12 (which also features Steph so there's something for Batgirl fans too!) Not only is the best Red Robin issue out of Yost's 12 issue run, not only is this the best Tim Drake issue we've gotten since Robin ended, this is the best Batman related comic issue I've read in the last year. Tim gets the best of Ra's, shows how he is different from Bruce, but also sets up so many great things for the future. Ra's and Talia are going after Tim to be Ra's heir???!!! Seriously, this deserves a look.

Sorry I haven't posted on the boards in awhile. But I have to just say how upset I am with Red Robin as it stands. In one issue, this Fabian guy totally ruined all the work that Chris Yost had done for 12 issues. He turned Tim into a version of the character I've never seen and acts like a 16 year old jock. Ugh, it bothers me so much and the storyline is just not going to work. You can't go from a big storyline with Ra's to one where Tim is just gonna go around Gotham and capture bad people so he can cross them off a list...

Oh, no! I'm so sad to here this, tabularasa! I know how much you enjoyed and respected the character. This is something that has happened to me before (Iron Fist) and I am dreadfully concerned about if Miller ever leaves Batgirl. Are you going to continue read Red Robin in case it evens out, or are you done?
