batgirltooracle.blogspot.com/2010/06/episode-8-batgirl-to-oracle-barbara.htmlAm I ever going to get a co-host? Am I dreading Nightwing Annual #2? And where exactly are Barbara Gordon (Sr.) and James Gordon Jr.? I answer these questions and more! Kimberley Rockmore reports on Batman: Year One DTV, the rumors surrounding White Canary, and a surprise involving Bryan Q. Miller. I review Batman #214, Detective Comics #392 and #393, and Birds of Prey vol. 2 #1! I then wrap up the show with my literary recommendation and a special character spotlight on X-23.

Great ep as always Stella. If you are looking for guest hosts/co-hosts I hope you don't mind a recommendation. Through strange coincidences, you know podcaster Michael Bailey, who knows a podcaster "Big Honkin" Steve, who knows this chick named Logan who hosts "The Canary Cast", a podcast originally focused on Black Canary, that branched out into spotlights on other female heroes. Unfortunately, she had to let that podcast fall by the wayside to host "The Squint Squad: a Bones Podcast". Maybe Michael can contact Steve who can ask his friend Logan to contact you. I know this would be a sort of "blind date" for a co-host or guest, but it seems you two have similar opinions on female superheroes. Plus, she loooves Black Canary, so maybe you can have her guest to talk Birds of Prey or something. Just a thought if you were looking for a female co-host. Other than that, loved the episode!m Keep up the great work!

Thanks! I'll definitely keep that in mind! I had seen "The Canary Cast" around on iTunes and was interested to have a listen but I have not had the chance. I'm good friends with Michael Bailey so I'll be sure to talk to him about it sometime! It'd be neat to chat with her! Thanks, again!

I do have to say, The Killing Joke was a read I was not looking forward too as well. Never while reading a comic have I ever experienced the full face punch that is "that" page. Not a bad story, but it's grueling knowing what you're getting into.

Once again, a really enjoyable listen - thanks Stella. As always, I enjoyed hearing your commentary of books old and new, the news roundup and the spotlight character this month was a nice bonus. I also enjoyed the new intro to the show - my congratulations to George.
This months musical interludes were an inspired choice - I've not heard the Thin Lizzy track for a long while and it brought back some good memories - thanks!
You've raised the subject of a co-host and I personally like the model you're using at the moment: predominantly your voice to the fore with an occasional 'guest' presenter (Kevin, George).
If you were really looking for someone to share hosting responsibilities have you considered that there may be an obvious candidate close to home?
I'm talking of Kimberley Rockmore of course. I always enjoy her contributions to the podcast and I can't help but feel she's got more to give.
Conversely, if she were overlooked for this 'promotion' I can't help but feel her position within the BtO broadcasting organisation could become untenable and it would only be a matter of time before there was internet chat-room talk of 'creative differences' and Kimberley 'needing to spend more time with the family'.
Anyway, just my thoughts.
