I will more than likely be recording this episode on Saturday, so you have until then to ask me a question! Enjoy, friends!

Oh... Are you still taking the Qs from the Crawlspace thread? If not, simply put, why to you Black Canary's death would push Babs to leave the super hero world, especially over say Dick Grayson, and the Bruce Wayne prior to RIP/Final Crisis?

Stella, I was curious why Babs and Dick separated after Infinite Crisis, especially when Dick said they would be together when he returned with Bruce and Tim. My research provides some very interesting information. Originally, Dick was supposed to die at the hands of Dan DiDio, I mean, Deathstroke in Infinite Crisis when he took a bullet for Bruce. He was going to die and leave Babs heartbroken. Fortunately, a coup of sorts led by Geoff Johns negotiated Kon-El would die instead, due to the legal heat surrounding that character. Now that trivia everyone kinda knows. But did you know this? When Jason Todd became Nightwing during One Year Later, the storyline sucked because Dick was still alive, leading to a crappy storyline. Originally, Jason would become Nightwing until he realized he was not good for the role, and he needed to establish his own image. Whether he would be Red Hood again, it never got to that point. But as a result of the crisis, Babs was SUPPOSED to walk again. Again shot down (ooh, bad wording) by Dan Didio. And she was going to carry on Dick's legacy as a female Nightwing. Obviously, this didn't happen, but the sketch of a female, red headed, Nightwing was incorporated into the Brothers in Blood storyline, where Dick teamed up with Jason and had a fling with a skanky metahuman fashion designer named Cheyanne Freemont. Cheyanne became Nightwing to save the boys' collective rear-ends, and was never seen again. It seems that she was only created to show of the design of the fiery Nightwing. So... would it have been in character for Babs to take up the role of her deceased fiance, and should she have been able to walk again after the crisis. Should this idea have happened? Or did it deserve to be shoved in a recycle bin, never to be seen again? Here is the design P.S. Congrats on the Batgirl Year One response! Maybe after Batman Year One they will reconsider, Superman/Batman Apocolypse and the Supergirl storyline should only help prove your point about female heroes. I also think a Batman Year Three/Robin Year One movie could work, and it could have a Nightwing:Year One sequel. I'd prefer the works of Chuck Dixon are released as opposed to Frank Miller. Dark Knight returns is over rated and All Star Batman and Robin is... *Shudder* Basically they should make a Year One DTV saga. Not only Batman Year One, but the Dixon "Year One" trilogy as well.
